THE SPIRIT OF ADVENTURE

Spirit of Adventure

Don’t allow the fear of the Titanic (in 1912) to stifle your mind but rather allow the victory of Vasco Da Gamma to keep you going. In 1497, a man, by the name Vasco Da Gamma was commissioned by the Portuguese king  to find a sea route to the east (India). He was born in Sines, Portugal, around 1460. He lived between 1460 and 1524. He was a Portuguese explorer and the first European to reach India by sea. He was a great adventurer and the first person to sail directly from Europe to India via sea.

Napoleon Hill said, “Impossibility can only be found in the dictionary of a fool.” For you to be dear, you must dare the impossible. There is nothing you cannot achieve if you remove the embargo from your mind. The mind is the battlefield.

Whatever you conquer in mind, you’ll conquer in real life. That is why the scripture admonishes us to keep our hearts with all diligence; for out of it are the issues of life (Proverbs 4:23).

To fulfill your destiny, you must believe in yourself. Vasco Da Gamma believed in himself and that was the reason he succeeded. John Mason noted, “You will succeed if nobody else believes in you but you can never succeed if you don’t believe in yourself.”

Words are very important. To achieve success, you must align your words with your thoughts. You cannot confess negative statement and achieve positive result. Your life follows the direction of the corner of your lips. Therefore, to achieve positive result in any situation, you must think and speak positively.

Everything in life involves venture. When you add venture to venture, it gives you adventure. It was the spirit of adventure that made Vasco Da Gamma to embark on that journey. Likewise, it was the same spirit that made Christopher Columbus to discover the new world (America) in October 12 1492. It was also the same spirit that propelled Bartholomew Dias to discover the southern tip of Africa in 1487.

A wise man declared, “Show me a thoroughly satisfied man and I will show you a failure.” To make impact in your generation, you must get involved in adventure. To become valuable, you must get ready to add value to the lives of others in a positive way.  For more information, contacts:
