At the end of each year, a lot of people sit down and count their problems and challenges but they never count their blessings. If you don’t count your blessings, when things do not work out the way you expected, you take life for granted and feel sorry for yourself.

Do you have a major or minor testimony over the year? Hold on to that and appreciate God. May be you are not able to achieve the goals you set for yourself at the beginning of this year; appreciate God because when there is life, there is hope.

The scripture says, “A living dog is better than a dead lion” (Ecclesiastes 9:4). Johnson Suleman said, ” Before you ask God for a need, thank Him for what He has done.” When you sleep and wake up the next morning, count it as a blessing. A lot of people slept but they never wake up. When you embark on a journey and return back safely, count it as a blessing. Maybe you planned to buy a car this year but you couldn’t. Appreciate God. Your dream of starting a business could not work out this year; still give God the glory. Perhaps you aspire to gain admission this year but it didn’t work out successful; thank God because when there is life,  there is hope.

The fact is that it is not what happened to us that matters; it is not the condition or situation we are passing through but the meaning we attached to it. Two people may be passing through the same challenges but maintain different attitude.

Remember, there are some disappointment you experienced over the year but the are blessing in disguise. Most of us take what we have for granted and clamour after what we don’t have. We need to write a list of what we have and be grateful for what God has done. T. D. Jakes said, ” The difference between ‘not enough’ and ‘more than enough’ is your attitude.” Therefore, count your blessings and name them one by one and you will be surprised what the Lord has done for you.

I want to use these inspirational words to motivate you. Your 2018 shall be greater than 2017. Don’t worry: God is going to surprise you. You are a child of destiny; you cannot fail.  You will share your testimony. When it happens, don’t forget to invite me in your thanksgiving. Cheer up!  I wish you success in 2018.  For more inspirational tips, log in to
