Bill Newman remarked, “Find out what you are good at and work on those skills; they are the raw materials from which you shape your destiny.” A time used for learning is not a wasted effort but an investment. Saint Goodness said, “ There are 24 Hours as the creator has allotted: 8 hours for work, 8 hours for sleeping and taking rest; and whatever you do with the remaining 8 hours determines whether you will become a pauper or a rich man.” Abigail Adam noted, “Learning is not attained by chance, it must be sought for with ardor and attended to with diligence.” Talent may be God-giving, but it needs to be developed and sharpened through the process of learning and practice. “A scholar must have time to study if he is going to be wise; he must be relieved of other responsibilities” – Sirach 38:24.   Dr. Myles Munroe remarked, “Everybody is a class-room; every experience is a lesson and everyone we meet, a teacher.” (more…)

There was a prolific writer in a particular nation that was doing a great job in his career. One day, he published a hagiography of the president of that nation. In an attempt to malign and slander his name, one of the people that envy him, wrote a calumny about the president, attached it to the last page of a copy of his book and took it to the president. When he got there, he showed him the last page with the intention to jeopardize the writer’s chance of success. To his amazement, after going through the last page, the president decided to turn to the first page. In the process, he saw the interesting things the guy wrote about him. He was astonished.
